Aisling Bea
Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian who has been around for quite a while. Born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. Bea was on the show with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly than the stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984) is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comedian. Bea first began her career in stand-up comedy in 2011 after playing small roles she appeared in Irish and British television dramas from 2009. From 2012 on she was in sitcoms and sketch comedy. After she received an prize from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011 and then became a regular on various panel show where she is now a staple. In 2016, and in 2017, she was a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Additionally, she was a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. The only female to win So You Think You're Funny in 2012. Bea is her name in honour of her deceased father. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet, who committed suicide after Bea turned three was the suicide victim. Bea was informed of his death only at 13 years old. Bea adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father and she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea's mother Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey was in charge of taking care of her as well as Sinead. The family was obsessed with races as well as horses. Bea spent her childhood as a tour guide in the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she didn't want the racing industry. Instead she loved the performing arts.
